Security Footer Message in DKI Canada Emails
In our messages to you, we include a security footer message with your contact details to help you distinguish authentic DKI Canada emails from “phishing” email messages. “Phishing” emails often look very similar to legitimate ones, but they likely wouldn’t have this personalized information and may also contain links that direct you to malicious sites instead of DKI Canada. Another easy way to confirm if an email is legitimate, is to verify the senders email address. If the senders email address contains a number of random characters, or has a different domain than you expected from the sender, it is likely spam and should be deleted immediately.
While the presence of this security footer message alone doesn’t guarantee that an email is legitimate, it gives you additional assurance that the email originated from DKI Canada. Most “phishing” attacks targeting large mailing lists won’t have this information.
Fraudsters may use a practice called phishing to try to obtain your sensitive data such as usernames, passwords, and credit card information. Learn more about phishing emails here.
If you suspect that you’ve received a “phishing” email impersonating DKI Canada, or any of our member companies, please forward the entire email to firstname.lastname@example.org
